Employer Responsibility
Online training can support OSHA compliance, but employers remain responsible for site-specific hazard evaluation, hands-on practice, rescue coordination, and confirming supervisors are qualified for assigned duties.
Some employers or worksites may require hands-on practice with atmospheric monitors, ventilation equipment, harnesses, retrieval systems, communication tools, permits, or rescue procedures. Online training should be paired with site-specific instruction where required by the employer, project owner, or applicable OSHA standard.
